The international autumn school on Constraint Programming, Combinatorial Optimization and Machine Learning is a joint autumn school of the Association for Constraint Programming (ACP) and 4 working groups of the CNRS research networks on Artificial Intelligence (GDR IA) and Operations Research (GDR RO). These working groups are CAVIAR (Constraints and Learning), RAP (Representation and Algorithms in Practice), ROCT (Operations Research and Constraints), GT2L (Transportation and Logistics). The Artificial and Natural Intelligence Toulouse Institute (ANITI) is also co-organizer. The purpose of the school is, first, to cover the Basics of Constraint programming, Discrete Optimization and Machine learning and, second, to present advanced combinations of at least two approaches to attack complex problems. Applications in scheduling and vehicle routing will be addressed. Training sessions and software tutorials will be organized.

NEW: The mini CP tutorial by Pierre Schaus will happen in a full online mode on Monday 23rd November 11h CET and will be followed by a hackaton on Monday 23rd November 14h CET. Check the Hackathon page ! The Hackathon is going on till Wednesday 25th 12PM !

NEW [29 october 2020]: Due to the lockdown in France that will last at least until December 1st the autumn school will be 100% online. Registered participant will receive connection information via email.

Dates, location and registration

The school will take place at LAAS-CNRS, 7 avenue du Colonel Roche 31031 Toulouse France from 24 to 27 November 2020.

There will be two possible participation modes:

  • online participation
  • onsite participation (limited number of persons subject to future unknown restrictions)

Registration if free in both cases.

To register, please follow the indication of the "Registration" link on the left.

You will have to indicate whether you choose an online or an onsite participation (in case onsite participation is not possible at time of the school you will be registered as an ionline participant)

In case of onsite registration, you will have to indicate the dates where you need lunch for presential participation  (24, 25, 26, 27 november), default: no lunch taken. Please indicate meal restrictions.

We are still not sure whether we will be able to provide free accomodation for a limited number of students. However please select "accomodation required" if you are a student and you need accomodation.
